Unitree Robotics is a Chinese robotics company that builds quadruped and humanoid robots. Founded in 2016 by Wang Xingxing (who briefly worked at DJI before starting Unitree), the company is headquartered in Binjiang District, Hangzhou, China. Unitree reached unicorn status with a $1.7 billion valuation in 2025, with investors including Tencent and Alibaba.
Unitree’s quadruped robots include the Go2 (consumer/research, from ~$1,600), the B2 (industrial-grade, capable of 6 m/s speed), and the Aliengo. These robots offer agile locomotion — running, jumping, climbing stairs, and recovering from falls — suitable for research, inspection, security, and entertainment.
In the humanoid space, Unitree produces the H1 (full-size, ~178 cm) and the G1 (compact, designed for mass production at ~$16,000). The company develops its own motors, reducers, controllers, and LiDAR sensors in-house, and provides open SDKs for all platforms.
