Dreame

Dreame Technology is a smart home robotics company specializing in robot vacuums, cordless vacuums, and cleaning solutions. Founded in 2017 by Yu Hao (a Tsinghua University aerospace engineering graduate), the company is headquartered in Suzhou, China. Dreame originated from a Tsinghua campus research group called “Skyworks” focused on high-speed digital motor technology.

Dreame is an independent company but part of the Xiaomi Ecological Chain (Xiaomi holds a minority investment). The company initially manufactured products under the Xiaomi brand but has increasingly sold under its own brand since 2019.

Dreame’s robot vacuum lineup includes the flagship X Series (X40 Ultra with 12,000 Pa suction), the mid-range L Series (L20 Ultra, widely named best robot vacuum of 2023), and the budget D Series. The company’s core technology advantage is its proprietary high-speed brushless motors.
