Boston Dynamics Spot Enterprise
Fully loaded Spot with arm, enhanced autonomy, and thermal inspection for enterprise deployment.
Boston Dynamics is one of the world’s most recognized robotics companies, known for creating highly dynamic legged robots. Founded in 1992 by Marc Raibert as a spin-off from MIT, the company is headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts. Boston Dynamics is now a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, which completed its acquisition in June 2021. Previous owners included Google/Alphabet (2013) and SoftBank Group (2017).
Their commercial Spot quadruped robot is deployed globally for industrial inspection, construction monitoring, and public safety. Spot can autonomously navigate complex environments, climb stairs, and carry sensor payloads for thermal imaging, gas detection, and 3D scanning.
Stretch is their warehouse logistics robot, using a mobile base with a large arm to handle boxes in distribution centers. Atlas, their humanoid platform, has demonstrated advanced bipedal locomotion and manipulation. The company employs approximately 1,300 people.
