Xiaomi Corporation is a Chinese technology company founded on April 6, 2010 by Lei Jun and six co-founders. Headquartered in Beijing, Xiaomi is the world’s third-largest smartphone vendor and has expanded into smart home robotics through its ecosystem approach.
Xiaomi’s own-brand robot vacuums include the X Series (premium, with 7,000 Pa suction), S Series (mid-range with 3D camera obstacle detection), and E Series (budget). The original Mi Robot Vacuum (2016) was manufactured by ecosystem partner Roborock. Current models may be manufactured by Dreame or other ecosystem partners.
In robotics beyond vacuums, Xiaomi unveiled CyberDog in August 2021, a quadruped robot powered by NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX with 11 sensors. CyberDog 2 (2023) is smaller and lighter with custom CyberGear micro-actuators. The “Xiaomi Ecological Chain” includes hundreds of partner companies producing connected products.
