DJI (Da-Jiang Innovations) is the global leader in consumer and commercial drone technology. Founded in 2006 by Frank Wang (Wang Tao) while he was a student at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, DJI is headquartered in Shenzhen, China.
DJI commands an estimated 70–80% of the global consumer drone market. The company produces a wide range of aerial platforms including the foldable Mavic series, the ultraportable Mini series (sub-250g), the professional Inspire cinema drones, and the enterprise-grade Matrice platforms used for industrial inspection and public safety.
Beyond drones, DJI manufactures the Ronin gimbal stabilizers, Osmo handheld cameras and action cameras, and Agras agricultural spraying drones. The company is privately held and independently operated.
