Ekso Bionics EksoUE
Upper-extremity rehabilitation exoskeleton for arm and shoulder recovery after stroke.
The Johnson & Johnson Ottava is a next-generation surgical robot that takes the revolutionary approach of mounting all robotic arms directly to the operating table rather than on separate carts. This table-mounted architecture eliminates the large floor-standing carts that dominate the OR in other systems, dramatically reducing setup time and freeing up space.
Ottava’s six robotic arms (more than any competing system) provide unmatched dexterity and instrument access, while the table-mounted design means the arms move with the patient when the table is repositioned. Integration with J&J’s Ethicon surgical instrument portfolio provides a wide range of specialized tools.
| Architecture | Table-mounted (industry first) |
|---|---|
| Arms | 6 robotic arms |
| Instruments | Ethicon portfolio integration |
| Setup | Rapid table-side docking |
