Clearpath Robotics Jackal

Our Verdict: The faster, more compact alternative to the Husky. Perfect for research that needs outdoor capability without the bulk.

The Clearpath Robotics Jackal is a compact, fast outdoor mobile research platform designed for speed and agility where the larger Husky A200 would be overkill. At 2 m/s top speed and with a 20 kg payload capacity, the Jackal is ideal for outdoor navigation, mapping, and perception research in smaller form factor.

Like all Clearpath platforms, the Jackal comes with a pre-configured ROS2 stack including nav2, SLAM, and sensor fusion packages. Its weatherproof chassis handles rain and dust, while the compact size allows transport in a car trunk. The onboard computer runs Ubuntu with ROS2 natively, eliminating the integration headaches of custom platforms.
