DeLaval VMS V310
Premium robotic milking with Herd Navigator biological analysis and InControl management.
The Abundant Robotics Apple Harvester uses a novel vacuum-based approach to fruit picking. Rather than mechanical grippers that can bruise delicate fruit, it uses calibrated pneumatic suction to gently detach ripe apples from the tree and convey them into collection bins. Computer vision identifies ripe fruit and guides the suction head to each apple.
This approach preserves fruit quality for the fresh market, where bruised apples are downgraded to juice processing at a fraction of the price. The autonomous platform navigates orchard rows on its own, harvesting continuously through day and night during the critical picking window when labor is scarcest.
