The Flyability Elios 3 RAD is a radiation-hardened variant of the acclaimed Elios 3, specifically designed for inspection inside nuclear facilities. Its electronics and sensors are protected against radiation-induced degradation, allowing it to operate in environments with dose rates that would quickly damage standard drones.
Equipped with a radiation dose rate sensor in addition to the standard visual, thermal, and LiDAR payload, the Elios 3 RAD maps both the physical environment and radiation levels simultaneously. This capability is invaluable for nuclear decommissioning planning, waste characterization, and routine inspection of reactor buildings and spent fuel facilities.
