The Ekso Bionics EksoUE is a robotic exoskeleton designed specifically for upper extremity rehabilitation following stroke, brain injury, and other neurological conditions. It provides gravity compensation and powered assistance to the shoulder and elbow, enabling patients to practice reaching, grasping, and functional arm movements during therapy.
Many patients with upper limb weakness cannot perform repetitive arm exercises on their own, leading to slower recovery. The EksoUE supports the weight of the arm and provides just enough assistance to enable therapeutic movement patterns, promoting neuroplasticity and functional recovery in the critical early rehabilitation window.
