DeLaval Body Condition Scoring Camera

The DeLaval Body Condition Scoring (BCS) Camera is a 3D imaging system mounted above the cow exit lane that automatically evaluates every cow’s body condition score as she passes underneath. Using AI-trained algorithms, it analyzes the 3D shape of the cow’s back, hips, and tailhead to generate an objective BCS reading for each animal at every milking.

Body condition is one of the most important indicators of dairy cow health, fertility, and milk production potential. Traditional manual BCS assessment is subjective and time-consuming. The DeLaval system provides daily objective measurements for every cow, enabling precise nutritional management and early identification of cows losing condition before it impacts production.
