Amazon Astro is one of the first true consumer home robots with genuine security capabilities. Its 1080p periscope camera extends to 42 inches high, peering over countertops and furniture to provide a unique perspective static cameras can’t match.
Ring Integration
Full Ring Protect Plus integration turns Astro into a mobile security patrol. It can navigate your home autonomously, detect unfamiliar people using on-device facial recognition, and send alerts through the Ring app. When you’re away, it patrols predefined routes and investigates unusual sounds or motion.
Alexa Built-In
With Alexa on board, Astro is also a mobile smart home hub, playing music, answering questions, making video calls, and controlling other smart devices as it moves through your home. Three Qualcomm processors and an AZ1 Neural Edge chip handle all AI processing locally for privacy.
